Over the last few months BCC member the CHSA see a number of new faces being appointed to its governing Council.
In July, Kimberley-Clark Professional was re-elected, and RPC bpi recycled products elected, at the CHSA’s AGM held at the House of Commons resulting in two new representatives joining the Council. Caroline Stanley, UK Marketing Leader, now represents Kimberley-Clark Professional, and Lorcan Mekitarian, Sales Director, represents RPC bpi recycled products.
Bunzl, Harrison Wipes and Jangro were also re-elected, with David Cousins, Stephen Harrison and Jeremy Thorn, respectively, continuing to represent these companies.
“We’re delighted to welcome two new colleagues to the Council,” said Stephen Harrison, Chairman of the CHSA. “The Council has achieved a great deal on behalf of the CHSA. Our Accreditation Schemes sustain standards, we secured Stephen Kerr MP as our voice in Parliament, have invited industry-leading speakers to share their insights and provided valuable information on topics ranging from the GDPR to regulations governing the sale of chemicals.
“It is important we continue to evolve and deliver for our members. With this in mind Caroline and Lorcan will make excellent additions to the Council, bringing a new perspective and fresh ideas. I am delighted to welcome them on board and look forward to their contribution.”
More recently it was announced that after many years of service, former CHSA Chairman, and recently retired Managing Director of Deb Limited, Jeff Bell would be stepping down from the Council. 
Jeff will be replaced by Tracey Black, National Account Director for SC Johnson Professional (formerly Deb Limited).
“Jeff has made an enormous contribution to the CHSA,” said Chairman Stephen Harrison. “It was his commitment to and active engagement in the industry that led to his election, first onto the Council and then to the position of Chairman, after which he continued to serve as a Council member. He served with distinction, providing clear strategic direction.
“On behalf of all his CHSA colleagues, I offer our heartfelt thanks for his many years of valuable and effective service. We will miss his wisdom and enthusiasm on Council but wish him the very best in the future. I hope our paths will continue to cross.”
Commenting on his decision, Jeff said: “It has been a privilege to sit on the CHSA Council, alongside talented colleagues. Over the years we have worked together to evolve and develop the CHSA into the effective and well-respected association it is today. I wish the CHSA every success in the future and would like to say thank you for the friendship I have received from other Council members.”
