The Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners held its annual ceremony of installation and company re-dedication at the medieval St Olave’s Church within the City of London on Friday 11 April.
Following the ancient traditions of the City Liveries, Issa K. Tahhan was installed as Master for the year ensuing, along with the installation of Maureen Marden as Deputy Master, Timothy J. Doyle as Senior Warden, and Philip Morrish as Junior Warden.
After the Installation, a banquet was held in the evening at Mansion House with guests including the Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Fiona Woolf CBE, and other civic guests including Alderman Andrew Parmley, Sheriff Adrian Waddingham, and Chief Commoner Elect John Bennett.
Additional guests included: His Excellency Mazen Homoud, the Jordanian Ambassador; His Excellency Manuel Hassassian, the Palestinian Ambassador; The Rt. Honourable Lord Cope of Berkeley; David Bentley, Master Baker; Major General Jeremy Rowan; Colonel Simon Ettinghausen; Wing Commander Bob Naeem; and Mrs Fiona Adler. The guest speaker was Alderman Sir David Wootton, former Lord Mayor. Entertainment was provided by the Salon Orchestra and Fanfare Trumpeters of the Honourable Artillery Company, and the Corps of Drums of The Royal Logistic Corps.
