Enter the FWC’s biennial competition for window-cleaning companies and employees

The search has begun for the window cleaning company and employee of 2021.

The Federation of Window Cleaners (FWC) is welcoming entries into its biennial industry competitions Window Cleaning Company of the Year and Window Cleaner Employee of the Year, 2021.

Winning prizes are a framed certificate, engraved trophy and a £100 voucher with the runners up receiving a framed certificate and £25 voucher.

The competition is open to all window cleaners who are registered members of the FWC, and to all employees of registered members.

Andrew Lee, Chairman and Safety Officer at the FWC, said: “Winning this title would put you out there ahead of your competitors, give you some excellent material for marketing your business as well as the satisfaction of knowing just how professional you and your company are. I would urge all members to enter.”

Beryl Murray, General Secretary of the FWC, said: “A prestigious title and a unique opportunity to promote your business…what have you got to lose by entering our competition?”

Employee entrants must have been nominated by their employer; and only one employee per company is eligible to participate.

The competition will be judged by three independent judges, together with the FWC General Secretary, based on industry achievements, time served in the window cleaning industry, customer / client testimonials, and reasons for entering this competition.

The closing dates for entries has been extended to 30 June 2021. All winners will be announced at the 2021 Cleaning Show, date to be confirmed.

Employee of the Year requirements

A competition entry form for a nominated employee must be completed by the employer and be submitted together with any client testimonials, evidence of training, qualifications etc to the FWC by post or email before the closing date.

Company of the Year requirements

A company competition entry form must be completed in full by the member or a representative of the company, then submitted together with any client testimonials, evidence of training, qualifications etc by post or email before the closing date.

All questions on the application must be answered and evidence of any qualifications, training and client /customer testimonials should be included with entry forms.

  • Second: HCS Cleaning Services Ltd of Lancashire
  • Third: Archer Cleaning Services Ltd of Lancashire

 

Window Cleaner Employee of the Year:

  • Lee Hewitt of Progress Cleaning, Southampton
