The new CSSA Awards, sponsored by the BCC, will recognise and celebrate the work of UK based companies, and organisers are urging firms, large or small, to get involved.

The awards were launched at the CSSA’s Autumn Evening held at Taylor Wessing’s headquarters in the City of London, and was attended by BCC Chairman, and Vice Chairman, Simon Hollingbury and Stan Atkins.

CSSA Chairman, Doug Cooke, told the invited guests that membership had grown rapidly since relaunching and the awards would help to raise the association’s profile further.

The former BCC Chairman said: “”The cleaning industry contributes £8bn to the UK economy each year. This justifiably merits it to be recognised and represented by those that want to uphold the objective of safeguarding the reputation and standing of the cleaning industry.”

There will be six categories; Contract Innovation, Training, Environmental & Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility, “Best of the Best” New Product and Outstanding Contribution, with the winners announced at the London Cleaning Show in March.

Sean Taylor from the CSSA’s Marketing Group, said: “ awards set people apart, and as such they are a perfect way to promote your company, impress customers and gain some great publicity.”

The awards are being sponsored by some of the biggest names in the industry including; the British Cleaning Council, BICSc, CHSA, WAMITAB, C&M Magazine, Meta Tissue and the London Cleaning Show.

Entries open on 14th November, with submissions closing on 24th January 2017. The awards ceremony will take place during the London Cleaning Show on March 15th.
