UKHA Turn On The Style At Annual Summer Ball With Some Help From The BCC

BCC member the United Kingdom Housekeepers Association (UKHA) recently hosted their Annual Summer Ball at Coombe Abbey in Coventry.

The event, which was themed “A Night at the Oscars” was very well attended and saw UKHA members enjoy the red carpet and Paparazzi treatment upon arrival followed by dinner, drinks, live music and dancing.

There was also a raffle to win top end, luxury prizes including a four-day yachting adventure for four people and flights to France via British Airways.

And just like real Oscars, every guest left with a personalised goody bag of treats, pamper products and other free ‘swag’.

Many of the prizes and giveaways were made possible through the support of sponsors, including the BCC, who donated money to ensure the UKHA membership enjoyed a fabulous night to remember.

Delia Cannings, UKHA’s Chairperson who organised the event with support from the UKHA Midlands, Wales & South West committee, said

“In my first year as the Chair I feel so well supported by industry colleagues and this Summer Ball was testimony to how well we work together and what can be achieved. A truly successful event.  I wish to express my sincere thanks to all who attended. I particularly wish to acknowledge the UKHA Midlands, Wales & South West committee their tireless efforts, passion and drive.”

Stan Atkins, BCC Chairman, said: “Many of the UKHA’s members spend their professional lives working incredibly hard behind the scenes to ensure other people get to enjoy the finer things in life with no issues or inconveniences. We were therefore happy to make a contribution to this event to help give those in attendance the chance to enjoy a great night out where they were the ones being pampered and treated like movie stars for a change.”

Alongside the BCC, other sponsors and supporters on the night included Aquasmantas, King of Cotton, Vision, Killis, Fishers, National Laundry Group, Mitre, Richard Howarth, Musbury, Mattisons, Bed Factory, Hypnos, MKG, WGC and Atlas Hotels Services.
