BCC Chairman officially launches Domestic Cleaning Alliance

Professionals from across the cleaning industry gathered at the offices of Environmental Excellence Training & Development in Oldbury, to see the BCC’s newest member, the Domestic Cleaning Alliance, officially launched.

Guest of honour at the launch event was BCC Chairman, Simon Hollingbery, who told guests he was impressed with the progress the Alliance has made, and wished them all the best for the future.

The DCA has recently been granted full BCC membership, after becoming the Council’s first ever associate member’s in 2015.

It’s been a rapid period of growth for the DCA who only started as an organisation in 2014. But with 55 members already on-board and a host of suppliers offering support, it is hoped the Alliance will soon grow from its roots in the Midlands to become a voice for the UK domestic cleaning sector.

The driving force behind the DCA is director, Stephen Munton, who runs his own small cleaning company ‘Busy Bears’. He said the idea behind the DCA is to help change negative perceptions about the domestic cleaning sector, and for members to network, and share ideas and best practice. He says now they are officially launched, he hopes to join forces with a marketing agency, and continue to grow the membership on a week by week basis.
