Education and training are the cornerstones of the BCC ethos, and the University of Northampton is offering scholarships that are educating the next generation of cleaning professionals

The John Butler WCEC Endowed Scholarship aims to encourage excellence in cleaning and infection control, and is open to students who are beginning their studies at the University of Northampton within the School of Science and Technology.

Students can study for a Certificate in Infection Control or Certificate in Cleaning Management.

The scholarships will mean a 50% reduction in fees for students and Maureen Marden Master of the WCEC said; “This scholarship is a fitting tribute to a valued past member. It demonstrates our commitment to improving professionalism and standards in the cleaning industry, by supporting those who are just starting out on their careers in this rewarding sector”

The next round of scholarships are available for May, with application deadline 15th April. Students have to be from the Northampton area, and any enquiries should be made through the university.
