The offices of Scot Young Research Ltd in Stourbridge was the venue for the British Cleaning Council’s first meeting of 2014.

Council members braved the wet and windy February weather to hear an engaging presentation on the merits of the new waste transfer system edoc from CIWM CEO Steve Lee.

Also speaking at the meeting was Alice Teague from the EHRC, who brought members up to speed with the Commission’s current study into working practices in the cleaning industry.

A number of important issues were discussed at the meeting and amongst the most notable was the agreement to scrap the annual membership subscription. It was also agreed that members who have already paid subscriptions this year will be given a full rebate.

The next Council meeting will be held on the 29th April, with the venue to be confirmed in the next couple of weeks.
